Yes, but only if you were undergoing treatments (such as fresh cycle IVF or other) when you were given synthetic hcg.

Otherwise, not afaik...

No treatments like that, only Clomid which doesn't contain HCG.

Still having trouble believing this might have actually happened at last.........

Well, it's EXTREMELY early to have found out (I'm a few days if so!) so not cracking open the alcohol-free champagne just yet. Just had a funny intuition to take a test this morning which came back positive, then had a positive blood test.

Even my doctor can't believe it and is advising caution.

ah great news - congratulations. I did 6 pregnancy tests and was still worried at my first scan that I'd somehow made a massive mistake and wasn't really pregnant. It will take a while to sink in - but again, massive congrats :)

oooh congratulations, it's hard to believe it when you've been TTC for so long. I felt like I'd been pushing on a locked door for ages and suddenly it opened and I'd fallen through it; took me quite a while to get my footing again lol.

False positives are rare. False negatives on the other hand are not!

Congratulations!

Ok, two more positive HPTs so it's sinking in! Quantitative blood test tomorrow.

Thanks everyone and pruney, I know exactly what you mean!
