Is there anyone 8-9 weeks pregnant? What are your symptoms, did you make a booking appointment /get your scan date?
I am 8w1d and apart for slightly enlarged boobs have no symptoms. I'll have a booking appointment for next Tuesday.I hope to get my scan before Christmas but it will be tricky as I travel for work all the time.

Hiya not 8wks but didn't want to leave unanswered (I'm 27+5). By 8 weeks my symptoms started to kick in. And they were sore boobs (that came and went on a daily basis) nausea but no sickness and only being able to eat crackers, croissants and toast. That lasted until about 12-13 weeks and fatigue. That lasted until 16 weeks!

My booking in appointment was sent o me through the post and I had that at 9 weeks. At that appointment the midwife gave me details about scans which I had to book myself and had mine at 11+3. Strait After my scan they gave me an appointment for an anomaly (20wk) scan. And all anti natal appointments with the community midwife I have to make myself at my doctors. Had one at 16 week and 25 week and got one at 28 weeks

im 8weeks 5 days. have terrible all day nausea and retching and gagging at 4am but no actual throwing up. very sore boobsand extreme tiredness much worse than my first pregnancy but i do have a 2.3 DS. Have had to cancel all my social engagements but am managing to keep up with D/S's groups and playdates but all i want to do is sleeeeeeeeep! with my DS the sickness peaked at 9 weeks and tailed off by 13 weeks, so fingers crossed i am in the eyeofthe storm now so to speak! am eating lots ofsnacks to combat the nausea and am obsessed by fruit!!! had an early scan this week as i had a M/C in january all looking good-and no twiins ;)

Hi, I'm 8 weeks today. Never felt so ill! I think (hope) I've got a sickness bug as violently sick all day yesterday, having been nauseous for a week or so before. No sick today but very nauseous. Just able to care for DD (27 mo). No other symptoms. Had a scan on Monday as severe pain last week. Heartbeat seen and all seems okay so far. Booking app Monday.

I'm 8+6 today and my nausea actually seems to be subsiding! Started getting MS around 6/7 weeks, only thrown up a few times but just generally feeling very put off by food, not even able to drink anything in the mornings because it definitely would've made me hurl, and only manage a few sips at a time of water. But now, for the last 2 days I don't reach first thing in the morning and have even been able to manage some breakfast Confused No other symptoms.
Midwife wouldn't see me until I'm 10 weeks (I'll be 10+3 when I finally do) and won't book my scan until I see her.

I know this has probably been said to death on this forum, but pregnancy is such an individual thing - even women at the same point as you won't necessarily be going through the same things, so it's not always helpful to contrast and compare.

You are right, every pregnancy is different but it is nice to hear from someone in your position. I find it impossible to join extremely long due date clubs and you also find people there 4 weeks apart in their pregnancy.
I was traveling this week and have 4 hours difference with the UK. This is not nice for non pregnant but been 2 months is horrible. I am glad I am at the airport on my way home!

Wouldn't like to be travelling, Katherine. Glad you'rea in your way home.

I don't think people are comparing and contrasting as such, just sharing experiences that no one in real life wants to hear!

I agree that every pregnancy is different. This time seems really different to my last one. I'm 8+2 and am not too sick yet, however last time I was throwing up from 7 wks. Pretty tired (isn't everyone)! Also off some food and really into others - cravings didn't happen first time until last trimester. oh, and boobs are really sore!

shellywellybaby1 · 19/11/2011 15:41

I am just over 8 weeks n all i have is mild period pain n a small amount of whitish discharge (i am told this is normal) i did feel nauseous and was at times sick but have been ok for a few days now. My boobs havent changed and arent sore! I have my booking appointment on monday :-)

Hope all goes well for you Katherine!! Safe journey home :-)

I am back and glad it is Sunday so I don't have to wake up early and do work.
I think because I was so busy and jet lagged I did not notice any development in my pregnancy this week. I was tired but could be also from meetings. My otherwise modest breasts got bigger but when I went to the shop to buy a new bra I could not yet fill a next cup size. They are not painful but uncomfortable if squeezed, but it was like this pre-pregnancy too.
I thing I am getting back my appetite ( although very difficult to choose food that I like) however my weight is still down compare to 2 months ago. Everyone points it out ( some even say that I look bad) and asks if I slimmed down on purpose.
I really miss my gym and yoga classes (too scared to exercise now), but I walk a lot. Hopefully in two weeks I can join pregnancy yoga class.
Belindarose - you are right:) who else would be interested to read my post apart from other pregnant girls:). I think at this stage talking about our pregnancies makes it more real.
