I know that this may sound stupid but I have been worried for the last five weeks that I may be pregnant even though I took two pregnancy tests both of which were negative. My periods are usually 28 days long but since August they have been shorter and not as heavy. I haven't put any extra weight on, my boobs have not become swollen and tender and I have not had any morning sickness. But, I have been feeling movements in my tummy for the last five weeks.
I already have two DC, both of whom I had all the classic symptoms and horrendous morning sickness up to the day each was born. I finished BF DS2 end of August/begining of September.
Oh, I am also suffering from reflux/acid indegestion which I only have when pregnant.

Anyone else with similar experience or am I making it all up. I can't get a doctors appointment until next Friday but am worried that they'll think I'm away with the faries. Blush
Have movements in tummy as I write.

I remember being freaked out by this after i had my first dc. Had funny phantom 'movements' that felt just like a baby moving. But I've got to say, I'm on my third pregnancy now, and in each one there were so many symptoms before the movements began that there was no way I'd not have known before then iyswim. It's significant that you've just stopped bfing I think. Your hormones will be settling down, which will account for the slightly different periods.

There is a thread at the moment about people who feel 'baby movements' but aren't pregnant.

After pregnancy (and having had a person dancing about inside you) you become much more aware of a particular artery in your abdomen which causes the fluttery sensation.

I would take another test before next Friday, if it's negative then you can ask for a blood test to rule pregnancy out. Your periods won't be back in a normal pattern yet anyway (I wouldn't think so anyway) if you only finished BF in August (which is when you say you noticed a change in them)

Thanks fuckity, that makes me feel a lot calmer. Spent most of last night awake worrying with every movement as don't want to get pregnant again until about this time next year.

Hi Flisspaps,
actually my periods came back both times 6 weeks after birth and have always been pretty much 28 days and heavy (DS2 is 13 months). They started to become irregular about 2/3 weeks before I stopped BF.

Will take another pregnancy test and see what happens.
