acid reflux

I get a burning feeling up my oesphogus, and sometimes a burp with a bit of acid liquid behind it (nice). Certain foods (orange juice, tomatoes) make it worse. I assume this is acid reflux? Anything I can do?

Get some gaviscon from the chemist and it will help with the heartburn Smile

I second Gaviscon in fact I've literally just had a glug myself. If it's a regular thing speak to your mid wife, they can then put it on prescription for you, which is obviously free. It's not cheap if the acid becomes a regular companion!

If Gaviscon doesn't help or only helps for a short time get a prescription for ranitidine from your GP.
