Help - confusing foods to avoid.

Can I eat cooked frozen prawns if i defrost them don't want to heat them up want them on my jacket spud.

Can I eat chicken that I cook and want to eat cold the next day?

Please help me I am doing my own head in!

I am no expert but I would heat the prawns just in case, and the chicken is fine as long as it has been stored properly in the fridge.

To be safe I would defrost the prawns in the fridge slowly, not run under a warm tap like I have done in past!

Also with the chicken, I would make sure it was nice and sealed and went in the fridge as soon as it was cold?

But that's just me!

I would heat the prawns through thoroughly to kill off any lurking bacteria. No reason why you couldn't let them go cold again though, as long as you eat them the same day.

The chicken is fine.

I would defrost the prawns slowly in the fridge but would not recook them - the freezing process killed off the bacteria.

As for the chicken - totally fine, just don't leave it on the side overnight so the cat can have a go at it and then still put it in a sandwich
