I'm due today and am really not feeling good at all...feeling very nauseous on and off, diarrhoea, mild headache and hoarse throat. I have had these symptoms on and off for a week or so but today seem intensified. No real contraction type things though just a few sporadic slightly uncomfortable twinges. Could labour be imminent or just a bit under the weather and tired??

I would LOVE to be able to tell you labour is imminent.

That would probably be a lie though. You just sound knackered and run down. Pregnancy really takes it out of you and with a vague virus with it you are running on empty.

Go to bed if you can for a lovely nap. Have an easy tea and watch soemthing funny to distract yourself. If labout is about to start you want to be as ready as you can be. Rest will help Smile

I have 2 weeks to go so feel your pain. I have just (stupidly) scrubbed the bathrooms and polished. I am now a creaking wreck and it os only lunchtime!

I think I will go and have a nap! Very good advice! Just had some lunch as well and feeling a bit better. I keep looking around at little cleaning jobs that need doing but nesting instinct has deserted me today! Hibernation instinct is taking over. Thanks for your response x

Hope you managed a nap Roz? Maybe the baby came... Smile

Hey largeginandtonic! I actually ended up in hospital the following night with suspected pre eclampsia! Went for middy app on the friday and was still feeling pretty under the weather, had borderline high blood pressure and protein in wee so they sent me in for assessment and was kept in for the night.

They did say thy might want to induce, which I wanted to avoid. Blood pressure steadied out and protein was coz I had thrush so back at home now again waiting and bouncing on birth ball! Lots of action but still no baby!!

Crikey! That filled a day then. What a nightmare. You are wise to avoid unecessary induction, no fun!

Here's hoping the baby makes his escape soon. Good luck!
