Sex after bleeding?

Last Friday I had some bleeding, not a great amount but enough to worry me. I had a scan on the Saturday which showed that the baby is fine. No more bleeding since then.

DP works away for 5 weeks and is due home on Monday and I would really like to have sex. 5 weeks is a long time with no cuddles or anything.

But I am a bit worried about it because of the bleeding. My MW said she's coming to do my booking in appointment on Sunday so I will ask her too but I just wanted some opinions please.

I had an early scan after having some bleeding and they said everything was fine and we were fine to have sex as normal. But check with your MW too!

How far along are you?

I had bleeding in my First Trimester, had a scan and everything was fine after that and we were cleared to do whatever we wanted.

9 weeks now.

I've had alot of spotting throughout both my pregnancies.... Dr at the hospital told me that you should leave it 3 weeks after any bleeding before sex. I'm sure there will be lots of different opinions as I've been told all sorts of things from different Drs, this was the longest I was told to refrain and felt I'd rather be sure it was ok, so left it the 3 weeks. Having said that, I bled almost constantly for the first 15 weeks with this pregnancy so didn't have sex the whole time I was spotting.... That was hard work!
