Take your blood pressure, check your wee, opportunity to ask n e questions. If your lucky you may get to hear a heartbeat but not everyone does. Literally in n out in 5 mins

Blood test for Downs Syndrome, if you've opted to have it.

Blood pressure, urine, asked about my first scan and if I had any questions, pretty boring really x

I had my blood test at the hosp a couple of days later! Just got my letter and I'm low risk so very happy girl! 19 weeks tomorrow and starting to get a bump it's so exciting ;-)

My midwife didn't check my urine..which is quite shocking rly. But heard the heartbeat :) she might also ask if uv felt movement n how uv been. Really is quite a quick appointment tho! I can't wait for my 21 week scan in 4 weeks!! :D

MillyStar · 16/11/2011 13:59

I've got mine a week on Monday Mumt1 can't wait to find out if i'm pink or blue! Are you finding out?

I've not felt any movements yet hopefully will this week ;)

mumt1 · 16/11/2011 15:27

I've been feeling movements for a while, but past few days its been very lively, along with a lot of pain tho :( yea I wanna find out the sex

I have mine next week (am 16+2 today). I am anticipating more wee and probably more blood being taken. It feels like the medical profession just can't get enough of my bodily fluids these days!

mumt1 · 16/11/2011 16:58

Lol I thought that with my first. Was forever having wee n blood pumped outta me! Not this time round tho, had wee tested at my booking in appt and bloods, then bloods at my downs syndrome scan n tht been it!

Thank u, I was super disappointed after coming out because of how quick it was- but after reading this I guess that's normal. It felt really rushed - midwife didn't go over my results from previous blood tests, I had a student find the heartbeat, told I had slightly low BP and a trace of protein in my urine - not told what this means for pregnancy if anything, and told to come back in 8 weeks - was in and out in under 5 minutes!
