Another 'I'm overdue and need to vent'

I'm now 41 weeks, have a midwife appt tomorrow to have a sweep and book an induction.
I've tried everything to get this little blighter out (apart from caster oil but I'm tempted)
I need him to get out soon as we move to a new house a week on Saturday as DP has a new job (brilliant timing I know) and I have so much packing to do but it goes against my nesting instinct which makes me sleepy so I keep napping.... Only to wake up and realise I really should have packed.
No amount of begging has encouraged the baba to attempt to break out.

But on the plus side, Scrambled egg with lemon juice on toast has made me so happy that it's proving I've been alone in the house too long.

Sigh.... Bring on the induction, just can't come soon enough.

40+4 here, totally sympathise with you.
It is awfull being overdue, its my first baby and I didnt expect to feel this desperate at the end, just want to have my baby so much and feel like Im still actually getting bigger, feet more swollen, face all puffy..the list goes on!
woww i really do need to cheer up!
Best of luck to you, hope it wont be too much longer, hang in there :)

right, hope this is of some value, i am doing a hypnobirthing course at the moment, in the hope that my baby is not late, i have beeen told that i need to RELAX, feel SAFE and SECURE, and NOT WORRY about due dates, timings, things outstanding etc. as that can stop me going into labour.
stop fretting about the housemove (easier said than done)....call in ALL your girlfriends/family/a removal team...and let them pack for you whilst you nap and eat scrambled egg.dont worry about them not doing things your way, life is going to be topsy turvy for a long time when baby arrives anyway.

you are a princess right now who should JUST focus on your baby and let everyone else do everything else for you.

if that doesnt work...maybe laughing at the thought of relaxing at this time might help.

best wishes, my babies have all been seriously late so far..hence the hypnobirthing this time.

Another 40+4 here, reporting for grumbling duty. I even cut my own hair this morning, even though the hairdresser is a two-minute walk from my house, because I couldn't face any more questions or helpful advice about pineapple, raspberry leaf tea, curry, sex, etc etc. Sigh.

For me, the greatest joy at the moment comes from cheese and ham toasties, so I understand the scrambled egg thing. Still, a year ago I wouldn't have dreamed I could possibly get this far with a pregnancy, let alone past 10 weeks, so it's all wonderful really. I just want to meet the little one!

Good luck, fellow overdue ones.
