First Kick?

I'm 17 weeks with my first baby, so I know it's early. I just had a strange little sensation, and I can't decide if it's my little one making his presence felt or not? It was at the front of my tummy, quite low down, and wasn't like any of the usual rumblings. It was one definite little sensation, like a kick towards the front of my tummy.

Do you think this was a little nudge, or is it just wishful thinking?

I am 38+6 and remember the strange sensation sort of like butterflies but not. I think i was around 18 weeks and was feeling slight kicks so its possible. :)

I was around 17 weeks when I started feeling fluttering like that. Hard to be sure if it's little kicks or gas LOL. But they did start getting more frequent and stronger. My guess is you'll feel a proper kick in the next couple of weeks.

I was 17 weeks when I first felt something too. It does feel quite similar to a bit of wind at first, but I just sort of knew that it was baby (mainly because it wasn't accompanying by a fart - how lovely). Those first movements are magical :)

i felt my first from about 15/16 weeks. just gentle tapping at first. i'm now 22 weeks and feel them pretty strong sometimes. when i had my 20 week scan they said my placenta was right at the back so def no padding from little kicks!

Ah that sounds like your baby is moving to me OP! It will get stronger over the next few weeks.

With my first I felt the first flutter at 16 weeks. This time I felt it at 13 and now at 18 weeks I feel it more and more.

So lovely. Congratulations!

Sounds like it to me! I am on no4 and theres no mistaking that lovely feeling that makes you stop........and think ooohhh was that a kick?!?

I can understand the comparisons to wind etc and it is similar, but I think its more the fact that it stops you in your tracks, my tummy grumbles and rumbles even more when I am pregnant, but for me those first movements are the ones that then develop into the more stronger kicks that are unmistakable!

If it was enough to make you ask yourself that question, then I would think your baby is saying 'hello'! Grin

I keep talking to it now to try and get it to do it again!
