Feel worried and need to chat

I went to the antenatal unit yesterday as I'd been having some itching. I had OC in my last pregnancy, so everytime I itch I have to have blood tests and a CTG to see if it's come back (will get the results today) (I'm 30 weeks today)

Anyway, the midwife measured me and she said I'm small, and if I measure the same next week at my MW appointment I'll have to have a growth scan. I wasn't expecting this, as my DS came in weighing 8lbs 10oz! I even had to have a GTT last week because they thought the baby was big. I'm so confused, so in the space of two weeks she hasn't grown at all.

I didn't sleep last night through thinking about it. Has anyone else had any experience of this?

It's probably nothing, but it feels like one thing after another at the moment and I'm getting fed up of it. I just want to enjoy the last weeks of my pregnancy as much as possible.

Try not to worry about the measurement, if it was just with a tape then remember this is only a guide and can be different every time depending on the person measuring. If its any reassurance my friend was measuring small for dates, had extra scans & then produced a healthy 8lb 6oz baby just last week.

At this stage theres nothing you can do to influence the size of baby, other than eat healthily so stressing & worrying will just raise your blood pressure. Try to keep in your mind that any extra checks are to make sure your baby is ok and that can only be good.

Well, my OC's been confirmed again this morning :( I have to go in first thing tomorrow and have monitoring, bloods and to book my growth and gall bladder scan.

I feel so shit about it. They think the reason she may not be growing is because of the OC.

Do try to stay positive and if you are being scanned & tested & monitored & checked then if there is any problems they can be sorted asap.

Hi I did not want to read and run I'm sure everything will be okay and as cravingcake sayd if there are any issues then there are people monitoring and things can be arranged asap.
