DP and I are hoping to TTC in about 6months to a year. DS is 16 weeks old and we would like them close together. Im on POP at the min but practically bleeding all the time.

I was on Microgynon previously and that had no real side effects for me.

So basically how long from coming off Microgynon to getting pregnant? Also any one had any problems on it?

About 8 weeks! I was on it for about 6 years and really didnt expect it so soon!

I was on it for 14 years and when i stopped taking it, it took 5 months for my periods to come back and to stare off with my cycles were very irregular for about 4-5 months. Then we started TTC and I got pregnant on cycle 2 so it doesn’t seem like it did any long term harm to my fertility but took a while for my system to get back to normal. May be because I was on it for so long though.

I came off it 3 months before trying properly and both times I conceived in the first cycle. I think it did take a month to revert to my natural cycles- my first period both times was on the pill schedule so not sure if I was actually ovulating properly. I then reverted back to my normal cycle which is much longer and started getting ovulation pains. So basically for me, I reckon it took a month or so to get out of my system.
