Galfer Liquid Iron and Teeth Discolouration?

Hi,

Looking to see if anyone has been advised of this in the past?

I was put on Galfer Syrup liquid iron a couple of weeks ago due to low iron levels. I have been told to keep taking an iron supplement until after the baby is born (currently 34 weeks) and possibly for a bit after as I will be breastfeeding. I have had iron tablets after having previous babies and know that they badly constipate me hence having liquid iron this time. I have been told the Spatone isn't strong enough given my current iron levels. However, my GP currently doesn't want to renew my script for Galfer as she says it will cause teeth discolouration - has anyone been told this before?

Thanks in advance.
