Stay put vibes please

36+1 today. I have just had my show . I not only want to last 6 more days so that I am term but I don't want to do it alone and DH not home for 9 days yet. Positive thoughts please, sorry I'm a wimp.

with dd2 I had my show about 3-4 weeks before she was born so you may have a bit of time yet.

hopefully your lo will stay put for a while longer yet.

Sending strong stay-put, legs-crossed, mega-relaxing vibes. (But just in case could you feasibly think of anyone else who would be a good substitute? If you put your mind at rest maybe you would feel more confident)

If it helps my show started after a sweep at 40 weeks, it was then 10 days later that I went into labour!

Babies have a habit of turning up when they are ready though, have you any other support that you can call on if baby decides to make an appearance before DH?

In the meantime, just try and relax and what will be, will be!

I'm 37 weeks, i had my show at about 33 weeks. I shall send stay put vibes till your dh gets back vibes ,can he get back any quicker? try really hard not to stress.

He will be allowed to start travelling back if I am confirmed in labour but other than that no.

Have managed to hang on another couple of days at least. Getting a lot of BH tonight though. Not sure at what point to consider them proper contractions but atm they don't hurt so trying to be positive.

Well that's positive, when does he get home?

Not til next week so still keeping fx. Only other adult I have is my mum who I need to collect DD from school etc.

Have you got a friend you could call on to collect DD so you could take your mum with you if you had to go into hospital?

No I don't :(. Will have to go myself :(.

Oh dear. Well as others have said, it could be a few weeks yet. I have no experience as this is my first pregnancy. How soon after your show did DD arrive?

Last time I started contractions, had show, waters went then had dd next morning, just to confuse the issue.

Things have settled down and today I made it to 37 weeks Big relief.
