So whats best/ most tummy friendly/palatable?

Spatone, Floradix or something else? Ive never tried either before.

I refused the Iron tablets my midwife wanted to prescribe as it upset my tummy in my last pregnancy..

I managed to up my iron count from about 8 to 10.5 in one week with apricots, fish for every meal (including breakfast [barfing emoticon]) as well the tablets. The midwife as blown away but I had my back to the wall (threatened with losing my desperately-wanted homebirth). Not sure if you need such a drastic result but maybe the food approach will help?

I took 2,x spatone a day plus pregaday from the gp. Took the spatone with oj as the vit c increases uptake and I decreased caffeine as this inhibits uptake of iron. I suffered none of the usual problems this way and I didn't suffer badly after my pph!
