... when you're 31 weeks pregnant?

I just rediscovered my TTC stash, but since we succeeded on the first month I only ran through 5 of them - what now?

  • Freecycle
  • Make a new and exciting Xmas decoration
  • Bin
  • Hope they last until we're TTC #2

I go for option two. Smile

Post on the ttc thread. I'm going to see if n e one wants my left over Internet cheapie ovulation tests on there

AllIWant85 · 11/11/2011 17:33

Most of them have a 2 year lifespan. If it was me I would post on the conception boards offering them to whoever wants them. That's what I am intending to do with mine once I am a bit further along.

I personally would end up peeing on them but that is obviously just me Grin

lol - well the enormous stomach is kind of giving the game away now, don't need a piece of paper to confirm! Not to mention I might struggle to aim, it's bad enough doing those damn sample pots!

I would offer them on the TTC board, but can;t get out to post them (PGP and dizziness combining to keep me housebound) so it would have to be freecycle so they can come and get them!

I'd keep them personally. Me and OH are planning #2 shortly after #1 (who's still cooking). It's also handy to have a stash around for any female relatives or friends.

cakes If you're going on birth control after baby-poppage, like the mini pill, implants or depo injections, coils or the likes, then keep the tests! I was advised to test every 3 months when on mini-pill (for about 4 years), just to be sure my periods weren't happening because I was pregnant...!
Otherwise, I'd totally love to see your xmas decs...

PeppaPigandGeorge · 11/11/2011 20:16

Oh yes, testing on the mini-pill - I have just ordered 20 tests from t'interweb for exactly that reason!

Or, you could keep them to put in the "sticking and gluing" box / bag you will inevitably acquire by the time the baby is around 2. A 2 year old could make a lovely collage with 20 unused pregnancy tests.
