I am 11+2 weeks gone. Had my dating scan today and all was well. For the past couple of weeks I have been having slight lower abdominal pain. When I say low I mean as low as it goes, just above the pubic bone. I have noticed it on and off, especially after and when I need to urinate. It usually wears off in a small amount of time but this afternoon it has been more persistent. It feels better with a hot water bottle. It's difficult to describe the pain but its like a pressure pain, almost muscular. I have also noticed my urine quite cloudy at times and wondered if it's maybe an infection? Anyone had similar?

Could be an infection, or could just be stretching pains. I'm 21 weeks and have had these pains all the way through, our scans, both last friday and today, shows that our baby is extremely low down in the pelvis, which is what they gave as an explination of the pains to me. It also explains why I have a constant need to pee, and why i don't look as pregnant as I think I should. I was told early on that I have a tilted uterus, I have no idea if that has anything to do with it?

I am 11w2d too and had some lower abdominal pain too, asked my midwife and she said it is the uterus stretching and the ligaments moving, so perfectly normal unless it's like a burning sensation or something and it hurts to pee, then you might have a urinary infection. I would go and see your MW just to be sure though :)

Thank you. I saw my GP this morning and he checked my urine which came back clear. He said it is likely to be stretching but gave me an anitibiotic to take only if the symptoms worsened.

Hi Sharond ! At about 11/12 weeks your uterus starts to move out from the pelvic bone area to above near your navel. You could be experiancing all the muscle twanging assosiated with this xx

If your urine came back okay, i'd definitely agree with your doctor.
When I was at that stage, my stretching pains felt like someone was stabbing me in the pelvis. It was excruciating at times.

same here I was really uncomfortable at that time also. It's werid how you notice aches and pains more when you are pregnant.

I know what this little one is upto by where in my back/stomack the pain is. Convinced I am having a russian gymnast even though we are only 15 weeks + 4 days.
