Hi All

I'm 28 weeks on Friday and was just wondering how the baby was measuring up. I have my next midwife appt a week today and just wondered.

When I was 25 weeks my Doc measured my belly at 27cm. Does this mean big or small baby? Is there anyway to tell, any charts or anything that I can measure against?

thanks ladies

You should measure the same in cm as the number of weeks you are, so 27cm at 25 weeks is slightly larger than average. I think they allow 2cm either way though and it seems it can vary hugely from one person measuring to another.

Thats really useful, thank you. I guess i'll just have to wait and see what the midwife says on Wednesday :)

Do bear in mind its not an exact science & is just a guideline so dont worry too much if its slightly over or under.
