.... Ok other than the obvious answer of 'I took a test and it was positive, duh!' did anyone have any other signs that they were pregnant? I had very sore boobs... anyone have anything more interesting?

The need to pee every 5 mins for me.

pommedechocolat · 09/11/2011 09:56

I had massive pmt like stroppiness 4/5 days too early!
Poor dh - was foul to him all day on the Saturday and then woke him up at 5am up on the Sunday wanting him to verify a faint line on a pee stick.

sillymillyb · 09/11/2011 10:12

Exorcist style vomming in the middle of the night, when I felt otherwise fine and boobs so sensitive that wearing clothes was a nightmare! Oh, and I was really thirsty - actually wondered if I was diabetic before I realised :)

lollystix · 09/11/2011 10:15

I walked past the gerkins in the supermarket and put them in the trolley. DH joked 'you bet not be pregnant' and then it all kind of fell into place - I'd been getting a bit tubby abs thought it was just cos I'd been eating the kids Easter eggs.

I found out I was actually 15 weeks pregs with ds4Confused

First time it was a combination of just bone crushing, unexplained tiredness and extremely sensitive nipples! They were so itchy and tingly all the time. Was a surprise as weren't trying but were over the moon!

Second time it was much the same but I swear I knew straight away. Took a test on the Friday which was negative and didn't believe it so re-tested on the Monday and my suspicions were confirmed! Grin

KnitterNotTwitter · 09/11/2011 12:46

When DS started talking to me about the baby... the one in my tummy...!

Bunsouttheoven · 09/11/2011 12:47

Insomnia, queasy, feeling like I was on a boat, not liking tea, sore boobs & thirst.

dreamc1 · 09/11/2011 12:51

Extrem pms; my poor hubby really got an earfull!!! And I could not stop eating; I didn't have much of an appetite before.
Couldn't really go by my periods are they were too unregular.

Birdiegirl · 09/11/2011 14:25

I had flu like symptoms for a couple of days - hot one minute and cold the next and then I was out walking my dogs one morning and my tummy gave a little flip and I just knew (or at least hoped I knew) that I was PG. 5 tests later and the happy news was confirmed!

pinkpeony · 09/11/2011 15:14

DC1 - I was convinced I was getting my period as felt all the symptoms (PMS, crampy, etc.). I even told DH that no luck this cycle, I'm about to get my period. When it was a few days overdue and nothing had happened, I finally tested and had a BFP. With DC2, I realised I felt just like I had with DC1 so pretty much knew by the time I tested.

EdithWeston · 09/11/2011 15:16

Tender boobs (really noticeable in the shower) and heightened sense of smell.

With DC3, I knew from that before taking the test.

MissTapestry · 09/11/2011 16:21

I went off bacon and had swollen boobs with HUMONGOUS blue veins running through my nipples! It's my first pg but I knew Grin

FirstTimeMummyToBe · 09/11/2011 17:42

i didnt notice it was the other half who told me to test!

looking back now i realised that i had bad nausea at 5ish every night but thought it was patches (was trying to stop smoking). Now realise it was preg symptoms.

Also didnt want to drink at a night out (not like me) :)

Clandy · 09/11/2011 19:03

It was being so thirsty that confirmed it for me and feeling sick. From conception had awful pains waking me up in the night as well.... And very sore boobs. Smile
Also as someone else said my dd started rubbing my belly one morning before I knew and it made me think I could be.

I couldn't stomach my favourite food... Mcdonalds cheese burger :)

FoxyRevenger · 09/11/2011 19:21

It's really strange but I was lying in bed one Sunday morning (husband was out playing golf) and I just...out of nowhere...knew that I wasn't alone.

I could just sense a little soul in the room with me. And I knew.

And I had no reason to know; my cycle was so irregular I had had 2 periods in 14 months and we had only been trying for days.

But there she was. Grin

dottyhenson · 09/11/2011 19:32

Extremely sore arms Grindidn't realise what it was first time- but pregnancy 2 & 3 this is what confirmed it for me before I took a test.

GwennieF · 09/11/2011 19:35

Boobs had gone up 2 cupsizes two days before I was due on. They were like rocks!

CoffeeOne · 09/11/2011 19:48

I was consitpated by a week past ovulation. I'm never constipated.

Ripeberry · 09/11/2011 19:50

I had a strange craving for pickles of all kinds. Just out of the blue. Previously HATED them.
So I though I'd better do a test.

Yummymummyyobe1 · 09/11/2011 19:55

I was very very tired and went of the smell and taste of coffee. Also the mother factor came into play.

My mother has a sixth senses for these things as asked before I had even missed my period. She has done it a few times over the years with different people.

babycarmen · 09/11/2011 19:59

I got heartburn which i only got when pregnant with DD - took a test and it was positive! Was a week before my period was due but i just knew - turned out i ovulated really early :/

MynameisnotEarl · 09/11/2011 20:02

Tingling nipples, extreme tiredness, nausea and yellow around the eyes [weird].
