Hi

I wonder if anyone can help I'm 15 +1 and on occassions suffer from what feels like really bad persiod pains and feel sick all day. I saw the MW on Saturday and she said my pregnancy was going well and that bumps hearts beat was very strong.

Today the pain has been really intense and haven't been out all day, has anybody else experienced this and should I be worried?

Thanks

Hi,
I remember havin period-like pains in the first few months of my pregnancy, one night I was doubled-over in pain and in tears, I couldnt stand up straight so I went to the hospital and I was booked in to have a scan the next mornin. Baby was absolutely fine, they told me the pain was baby settlin in and growin (he is 1 year old now!)... but if your worried dont hesitate to go to the doctors/hospital, you have every right too. And as for sickness, I suffered with Hyperemesis Gravidarum :(
Best Wishes

Hi JustLea,

I am going to see my GP in the morning as I just do not feel myself. I think it might just be things expanding with bump but better safe than sorry, although I do feel guilty about distubing the Dr. Sorry to hear y ou suffered with Hyperemesis Gravidarum fingers crossed things will sort themselves out.

Best Wishes

Quick update on this. I decided not to disturb the Dr and called NHS direct who have advised me to wait until later today and if I am feeling no better then go to A&E.

I am still feeling like poo and in pain and am waiting until my partner gets home before I go as I am a little scared. Hopefully I am worrying about nothing.

hope everything is ok.
Pg provides all sorts of weird symptoms- some are normal to most people, and some are rare (but still normal).
Dont assume the worst. Be positive.
Please keep us posted if you get a chance. x

Hi vmcd28,

I will do I am still feeling violently sick and have a pain in my lower stomach is so painful. I only managed to sleep 3 hours last night.

My partner and I are off to A&E this evening to get it checked out as I would have thought after nearly two days I should be feeling better.

be kind to yourself. Try to relax.
And I'm keeping everything crossed for you. Hopefully you'll be back here later with positive news x

Hi all,

Well my partner and I went to A&E and thankfully it turns out that I have a Urinary Tract Infection and have been given a course of antibiotics.

excellent news :)
I remember the feeling of relief after a worrying time. Do nothing today, lie around eating chocolate, and smile in the knowledge that you're giving wee baba a treat ;-)

ShowOfHands · 09/11/2011 10:28

Ha, low down pain, feeling v sick and under the weather, was about to say you have a UTI!

Keep an eye out for them. Some women are prone to them in pregnancy and they need prompt treatment, particularly as the pregnancy progresses.

Yummymummyyobe1 · 09/11/2011 12:00

Thank you all.

There is no rest for the wicked vmcd28 as I have a million and one things to do before we complete on our new house on Friday in addtion to being at work all day. Although I am sure chocolate can be eaten on the run. [smimle]

ShowOfHands it sounds as though I might be one of those women although a 5 days course of antibiotics should kick it's bum.
