It's 4am. I cannot get comfortable, cannot sleep. The baby is wiggling, tickling, kicking, punching high & low. I need to pee seemingly every hour. And it has been like this for WEEKS now. I have another six weeks til due date, another two weeks of work and a 4 year old DD to look after as well. Quite simply, I feel like I am going to lose my mind.

I know there will be sleepless nights when the baby arrives but at least DH can spell me by getting up too.

Anyone else in the same boat? Any survival tips? It was never this bad with DD.

No tips but a load of empathy. I've been like that for weeks. I can't seem to get a decent night. If I drop off at a good time I'm just up early. Seems mother nature is been cruel. 41 weeks today and I'm shattered!!!!

Here are my tips for making you more comfortable (I'm 35 weeks) - they've worked for me - hope they work for you.

2 massive bolster/maternity pillows - one down each side. 2 more pillows under your head/shoulers, one more under your feet. Whenever you roll over tuck the big pillow between your legs, and the other one behind your back. I've found making a nest to sleep in just more comfortable.

Go to bed early - even if this means you do wake up earlier you are at least getting some sleep. When you do wake up, try not to be pissed off about it, just deep breathe and rest your body, if not your brain!

No drinking after about 6ish to minimise getting up for wees.

When you get up for a wee try not to turn any lights on, so you wake yourself up less.

Good luck!

It's horrid. A glass of milk helped me. I started a thread while pg and got lots of good ideas. I'll try and find it for you.

I tend to wake up at around 5am every night and then it take me ages to drift back off. I find getting up and having a wonder works for me and looking at baby things.
