DD1 arrived at 37 weeks. What are the chances of second baby arriving early?

Just wondered if anyone has any experience of this? Is it likely to arrive even earlier than my first? I'm currently 35 weeks.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm currently 18 weeks but DD was born at 34 weeks. If anyone could help??
Also DD is 24 weeks old so I no the risk of giving birth early so after already giving birth is high?

Diddy, dd arrived at 37 weeks, my second child ds arrived at 27 weeks, decided against child 3 for some reason.
Sorry I don't know about the chances of this baby arriving early, but take care of yourself and good luck.

No experience (yet), but speaking to a friend today who has had 5...there is no pattern. 1 was 2 weeks early, 1 ten days early, 1 a week late, 1 two weeks late, and 1 induced 5 days early. It's a flipping unknown minefield (and I hate it!).

My first at 33 weeks, second at 40 weeks.

DS born at 38 weeks, DD born just after 40 weeks. The last two weeks felt very long.

i had my first at 38 weeks and my second at 41 weeks.

Thanks for sharing your experiences everyone. It looks like there is no pattern so I'd better prepare myself for 5+ long weeks!!! I feel like I'm struggling as it is with my huuuge bump, I'll need a crane in a few weeks! x
