Am I right in thinking you can have 6 months or a year off for maternity but get statutory pay for 9 months or thereabouts??

yes, my stat pay ran out after 39 weeks, I think you are entitled to a year but after 6 months your right to return to exactly the same job is erroded?

after 6 months off they have to offer you same level same salary but not exact same jobs - this stands until year is over
