My waters just went in true Hollywood fashion.
Have soaked two pads already, and one pair of pyjamas.
I just knew something would happen, had a feeling it would be today......
A word of advice, pack your bags in good time, even if you know where everything is Hmm
period pains and niggly pains starting and I need sleep......but adrenaline is pumping....
Waters are pink, but this is really bad timing baby, had shopping to do tomorrow.....Grin

I'm up with my 6 week old, well he's snoring away, I'm expressing his next feed.
How old I'd your dd, is she old enough to understand her brother or sister is on the way?

mumblejumble · 05/11/2011 03:11

So jealous mumble I'm so ready for this big one to make an appearance, Goodluck :-)

mumblejumble · 05/11/2011 09:29

Still here and not in labour yet, but leaking water still when I get up.
The water is still pink with white flecks, and have not problems with temperature etc. Just having niggles on and off.
How long should I stay home before going to the hospital, want to avoid c-section, can't be induced, so want to leave as long as possible. Am monitoring temperature and baby is moving ok.

Sounds like my labour with ds3. My waters broke at 9pm, was just niggling all night until 7 am when contractions started, he was born at 8.08am. So be prepared to go from 0 to 60 very quick.

RandomMess · 05/11/2011 09:37

I am stil Grin that you hadn't packed your bags by 40 weeks LOL!

GemmaReeto · 05/11/2011 09:38

Congratulations! Cant say Im not slightly Envy!

If your waters go I think you are meant to ring the maternity unit to advise them. Thats what I remember from antenatal class anyway...

In terms of contractions Ive been told to stay at home for as long as possible, until they are 3 mins apart for at least 40 minutes!

If at any point you are unsure then again ring the maternity unit.

Good luck :)

sunshineoutdoors · 05/11/2011 09:46

Think you do need to contact labour ward. When my waters broke but contractions stayed spaced apart, the hospital wanted to induce after 48 hours because of risk of infection. I also needed to stay in hospital after to have antibiotics, again due to infection risks.

sunshineoutdoors · 05/11/2011 09:47

Think most of the time things do happen naturally pretty quickly though! Wow, you'll get to meet your baby soon!

mumblejumble · 05/11/2011 10:05

Ok, at every 7 minutes now
Am going to have a shower, then go and get kids to friends for the day so they can go sof tplay centre and have some fun and not kick the birth ball around the room while I am trying to bounce on it. Might go for a walk to get things moving.
