hi everyone could do with some advice pretty quickly please! i'm 27 weeks today and baby has a pattern of moving loads from around half 5 onwards, with really strong kicks being aimed towards my pelvis! He started off moving as normal at this time but for the last maybe half an hour 45 minutes he's stopped moving as much, occassionally i can feel the same sort of thing i used to get when he was smaller but nowhere near as strong as he normally is! Have tried an ice cold fizzy drink and am now lying down quietly but what do you think i should do? Should I worry or he is probably just behaving a bit differently today? Any help would be great xxx

Well there's no harm in ringing and seeing what the mw thinks. :)

hiya, i'm a little behind you (24+5) but had a midwife appointment today and I was asking her about monitoring movement as i've been full of a cold and babys movement has been alot quieter than what i'd call 'normal' for me. But she told me that if it's getting to evening time and i hadn't felt 10 movements then that's when i should be ringing to get checked out. But if your concerned there's no harm in ringing

Hi, I had a scare on Sunday and Monday where my baby went really really quiet and wasn't moving much at all. I was a bit stupid and didn't go to the midwife or call anyone, but he was fine again on Tuesday moving around and kicking me like normal. He's been a hyperactive little man since then.

If you are worried then definitely call up your midwife unit and tell them.

Random but works for me - downward facing dog position - my baby likes to sit breech and turns toward my back and i can't feel him but downward facing dog for a min or 2 turns him upside down and gets him moving if only just to get comfy again.
