Mild Bleeding at 31 weeks

I get braxton hicks regularly, except they do feel lower down (at my cervix) but not painful. In the past 3 or four days, i've had mild bleeding. It will be there on one visit to the loo, but not the next. So irregular and not too strong but is definitely happening.

The baby is moving but not a great deal. Am i being paranoid or should i get checked out?

Yes, I would get checked out. I don't want to worry you but you could be in early, very slow labour and the bleeding could be a show. If you're not, no harm done by finding that out.

I speak as someone who thought 'it's nothing' re: mild bleeding and cramping at 33 weeks and ended up having DS at 33+4. If I'd gone in earlier they could have stopped it.

Yep go in and get checked out.

You definitely need to get it checked out - I had a little bleed at 25 weeks and they took it really seriously.

If the baby isn't moving about much then that needs to be checked out now, regardless of the bleeding. Don't wait about and risk anything, go in now.

No, no history at all. Nothing to suggest I would have a prem birth - BP normal, etc. Midwife completely happy at 32 week appointment.

I felt my DS turn head down and engage (although I didn't realise he'd engaged at the time). Otherwise movements were normal.

Absolutely second what Cheese said. Go in now. Bleeding in the second and third trimester is not normal and needs to be checked out.
