i am 24 wks the baby is measuring 28 wks cue flurry of consultant app and blood test etc. really whats the problem? my last baby was 10.5lb, this one will prob be bigger but thats not the end of the world is it. do i need to go see consultant who will say ummm what can we do. either it will be fine or it will be a prob i suppose. i am thinking fine as the last consultant said in my last pregnancy "i would worry if you were a small thing but you are big girl" he was talking hips wise i believe Grin.

I guess they might be worried about gestational diabetes?

Its probably fine isn't it because you have a history of large babies but there are a few reasons it might not be so blood tests etc to rule it all out sounds appropriate to me.

I've just been diagnosed with Polyhydramnios ( too much fluid) so they may be thinking along those lines. That in itself can be risky if waters break ( so i can gather) so better that it's picked up rather than missed.

had gtt done twice now and its a no. but they want to do it again in 4 weeks are they just being over cautious? can i just say no? feeling a bit like a pin cushion which is probably making me a bit unreasonable had tests yesterday and today but they are talking about blinking c sections etc which is just ott to me.
all of my labours have been SVB for bigger than average babies with out any bother so dont really understand what seems to me a massive over reaction.

I think its better they double check so that you know for sure. You are probably right and you just usually have big babies. I'm sure that's the answer the MW and Drs want. However they would be in trouble if they knew you were measuring big, did nothing and there was a problem. Afraid I am in the better safe than sorry camp.
