Is everyone else as shattered as me or am I just mega unfit?

I'm 31 weeks. OK, I'm a lardarse but I was a lardarse with DD too and didn't feel like this. And I'm 40, was only 36 with DD that's my excuse

I literally cannot move. Today I took DD to pre-school, by car, then went to Sainsburys and spent 25 minutes in there, not hours, not mega shop. I crawled home and have collapsed on the sofa. There are 1001 things I need to do around the house but this'll be me until 12.

I don't hurt, well, only the days I'm at work and then my office chair leaves me unable to walk. But generally my back aches, my legs ache, my bump aches and I could lie on the floor and sleep.

Everything knackers me out. Thinking about doing anything knackers me out. Am I just the most unfit person in the world or is this normal for this stage and I've forgotten?

27 weeks and weak as a noodle. All I want to do is lie down and 'rest my eyes' like I'm 110 years old.

I am sending sympathetic vibes Smile

lol I have posted almost the exact same thing this morning!! I am 27 weeks and really struggling with the overwelming tiredness so sending lots of Brew and sympathy!! Takes me nearly 1.5hrs to get to work so by the time I am here I am almost useless!
Seeing GP later just to get bloods checked. I know my iron was borderline when lasted check would it be worth you doing the same?

hannahkj19 · 03/11/2011 10:58

omg i thought it was just me! I'm 27 weeks and just getting to where i need to be is enough to exhaust me let alone doing what i need to do when i get there! i know my iron is fine cos only had a blood test a couple of weeks ago! at least i know i'm not the only one struggling now! xxx

twogirls1more · 03/11/2011 11:04

I do empathise as I'm the same, (though 38wks with loads of latent labour signs!) I'm 39 and have a vv active toddler and two other kids + DH too... finding it all a bit much this time! :( Re the iron levels, I've taken Pregnacare prenatal tabs all the way thru this pregnancy and my iron's remained fine. I would strongly reccommend as sure they work and my midwife swears by them! I'm sure I'd feel a whole lot worse and far more lethargic if I wasn't taking them! Good luck with the nxt few weeks! :)

Oh hallelujah! Sorry you're all suffering but I thought it was just me. I didn't mind being pregnant last time, now I can't wait for it to be over. Sleepless nights, nappies, feeds, don't care, just as long as I can walk for more than 100 yards!

If it makes you feel any better i'm the same @ 28 weeks except i'm only 25 and have been signed off work and have no other kids to take care of at least you have an excuse. The only thing i have to do daily is keep the house clean and tidy and that leaves me needing a nap! It's only a 2 bed with 2 adults and no pets it's getting silly how tired i feel all the time.

twogirls1more · 03/11/2011 13:56

Honestly girls, take ur pre-natal vits! It might make a difference?! :)

GwendolineMaryLacey · 03/11/2011 14:02

Been taking them for about 18 months!

Just got back from the dr and my blood pressure is 146/100 :( Got follow up appt tomorrow, don't know what happens if it's still high

Hello, lovely!

Sorry bp is high, what was your booking?? They might want you on bed rest, or give you meds. Maybe you're going for a November baby!! Will not be happy if you beat me......

Otherwise, I feel exactly the same as you. Crap!! So much harder this time. I'm 41 and 35/36 with dd. Bear in mind we both had a pretty crappy start to the year, so prob weren't in the best physical condition. I know I wasn't!

Spd really limits what I can do too. Can't mooch around town, even the stairs at home are a struggle after work....

harassedandherbug · 03/11/2011 14:10

Oh and I can't possibly get any bigger!!!! I'll burst...

twogirls1more · 03/11/2011 16:22

I think age does make a difference too! I'm 39 now and was quite a bit slimmer and alot younger when had first two! Started a size 16 this time and have really noticed the weight gain this time as started with about a stone of extra baby weight from my last pregnancy! :( I've put on about 2 stone this time, (almost exactly same as in my previous pregnancies) though have been a bit bigger to start with each time.. therefore more unfit, older etc..! Am pretty sure I'd feel totally wiped out if wasn't taking my vitamins as my other 3 (particularly toddler going thru "terrible two's") really know how to test me!
Sorry to hear about blood pressure gwen :( It's no wonder you've been feeling so crap is it! Hope it gets sorted and you start to feel a whole lot better! x

twogirls1more · 03/11/2011 16:23

Anyone with a bump measuring beyond 48"?!!

Broodzilla · 03/11/2011 17:40

this is exactly why I love MN! I'm 28 weeks today, have a 2 year old running around and I'm shattered. Last night I changed the bedsheets (for our double and his toddler bed) and not only was I puffing and contracting like mad, I was out of action for about two hours afterwards. I'm ginormous already and finding things like putting shoes on really hard. Meanwhile, I have friends who are about as pregnant, happily swimming laps and doing pregnancy yoga and "thinking about shopping for maternity wear"...

So I'm afraid I have no wise words, only sympathy, but you lot have made me feel SO much better, just because I'm not the only one!
