I am 6.5 weeks and I have completley lost my appetite! Anyone else feeling the same? Nothing is switching me on and I get full really fast :( Its sucks, I love food!!

Made myself some yummy (normally) meatballs, pasta and garlic bread and couldn't manage a mouthfull! Ended up with shredded wheat. In fact i just like cold stuff!!

Please tell me I am not crazy!

Not crazy. Perfectly normal.

It will return.

Eventually.

:)

You're not crazy! You're absolutely normal! Don't worry you'll get it back in the second trimester...and then may well lose it again in the third trimester.

Source: 30 weeks and haven't eaten anything substantial all day :(

Ahh, the start of morning sickness Sad

Good luck - I will tell you it's going to get a lot worse so just eat whatever you can manage and get lots of rest! It came as such a shock to me how awful it was suddenly not being able to eat any of my fave foods.

MrBloom - I've also had a weird low appetite recently - am 33 weeks. I'm back to my first trimester staples of yoghurt, chocolate milk and kids' cereals!

Thanks ladies, now not feeling crazy, just miffed :( !!

Off to Spain next week with work, set meals and buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. God knows what I am gonna find that I fancy!

Good luck - can you stock up on snacks like biscuits in case there's nothing you fancy at mealtime?

friedfrog · 02/11/2011 19:57

Stripey.....really strange, just ate some kids cereal (had a variety pack for my god daughter in the cupboard) suprisingly good!

I remember that stage, it was pants. I was all about the carbs! :)

friedfrog · 02/11/2011 20:15

And the guilt, I feel like apologising to the pickle all the time. I always thought I would be such a good eater....just cant face it!

Welcome to the world of MS just eat what you fancy. I'm eating wheatabix for 2 meals and waffles and fish fngers for main everyday. It will change next week. As long as you can keep it down dont worry about size of meal or what you eat

KatherineCam · 02/11/2011 20:27

I lost appetite almost after implantation, so from week 3-4 I stopped eating and lost about 2 kilos and everyone commented that I look horrible. I did not have any nausea just stopped being into food. And I love food and I love cooking! For the past few weeks my family had to eat shop bought pizza (yack) because I did not want to cook. I am now 6 weeks and my appetite slowly comes back. Just cooked risotto:).
