Has anyone else suffered diarrhoea in the first trimester? I am 6weeks2days with my 1st and I have been suffering from it along with constant nausea for just over a week. Is this normal? I have heard of people getting constipation but not read anything about diarrhoea. My first midwife appt is not for 2weeks.

Yes, I thought I had eaten some dodgey sausages and when I continued to be ill went to the Dr. who suggested a pregnancy test, that was 31 years ago, the dodgey sausage now has a 4 month old daughter of her own :))

Yes me :( I would flit between both extremes for the first couple of weeks. It was never what I would consider a normal pre pregnancy poo

Although its still not normal however it's goes from not happening for a few days to quite a lot in one day. So don't no if it's something that will stay until the end of the pregnancy but I hope not Grin

Congratulations on your pregnancy though Smile

Thanks guys, and congrats to the dodgy sausage!

Oh yeah, I updated my nickname.

:)

Yep I did too, and bloody terrible stomach pains just before, it seemed to pass fairly quickly though

stripeybumpinthenight · 02/11/2011 18:35

Yep I had diarrhoea along with my morning sickness, I think it's common but not talked about as much!

At 33 weeks now, would kill for more liquidity in the poo area Envy

KatAndKit · 02/11/2011 18:36

I had an awful couple of days with it just after the 6 week point. Had had killer constipation in the week before that and both extremes were very painful!

GeeinItLaldy · 02/11/2011 21:33

I'm 6+4 and things are not normal in the poo department at all. I am swinging between constipation and mild diahorrhea. Everyone talks about morning sickness (which I seem to be avoiding so far). No-one gives you any idea of want to expect from the other end!

louisdog · 08/11/2011 16:42

Yes me! I am only 4weeks1day but have had diarrhoea from a few days post-ovulation, in fact I was sure I couldn't be pregnant as I was convinced that only constipation is a pregnancy sign.

I was hoping it would stop any day, and now it seems I may have this to look forward to for weeks!

pregnantmimi · 09/11/2011 01:15
