MatB1 Form??

Just a quick one - sure it's been asked before but my search was confusing...

When shold you be issued a MatB1 form?? I'm 22 weeks and won't see the midwife until 25 weeks. My boss is asking for my form as he can't advertise for my replacement until I produce it.

Anyone know?

I think you normally get it around 24/25 weeks - I'm 22w and don't have mine yet. In previous pregnancies I always found HR were chasing for the thing ages in advance of when you can get it....

Yes, its around 24/25 weeks when you have an appointment with MW. My work too were chasing for it before then.

You're entitled to it from 21 weeks, so could phone the MW and see if you can collect it earlier?
My work you need to apply for mat leave by 25 weeks, with the form, so I made sure I insisted on it just after my scan.

You can ask your GP for one as an alternative. In my case much easier to collect/less waiting time!

Yep, what pecan said. My work were hassling so at 21 weeks I went straight to my GP. I didn't have to see her to get one either, just rang up and asked.

And take a copy of it. My work "lost" mine, twice.

I gor miune from the GP - I didn't realise I needed to be seen so just went in to ask for one and he saw me there and then!

or even "I got mine"

I did try to get one early from my GP but she refused and said MW had to issue it!
