Hi everyone, I'm 22 wks pg and for the past few days I've just not been feeling very well but no specific illness... I just feel totally exhausted, achy all over, finding it really hard to concentrat and a bit nauseaous. Has anyone else had this? I thought the 2nd trimester was meant to be the 'nice' bit!

I'm now wondering if I should go in to work tomorrow, (I've had 2 days annual leave so will feel bad for not going in, but right now I just can't face it), but it's hard without actually having a proper illness IYSWIM. I saw the midwife last week and everything was fine, BP a bit lower than it had been, but not low, so I'm a bit confused.

Now I feel like I'm just moaning...this is DC1 so maybe this is just what being pg is meant to be like!

Your not being a wuss at all! When your preg everything becomes magnified, and something that would usually be considered as just feeling a bit under the weather can really knock you for six and make you feel really Ill. Your immune system is also compromised when your pg. have you had your flu jab yet? If your not feeling well enough, don't go to work.

Hi Im 23 weeks and feeling a bit the same, not unwell enough to stay of work but under the weather physically and mentally. Had to force myself into the shower this morning, just did not want to go to work at all. I think its really hard to motivate yourself as you are on the countdown to mat leave and also pg even though its not an illness as smug people will tell you, you just never feel 100% if something doesn't hurt you have mood swings. I just feel like I want to stay in bed until baby gets here! but then I feel guilty if I don't go to work as I've always taken a 'man up' approach to sickness so have to be on deaths door to skive. But its not just us that we are thinking about at the moment and I find that self comes first at the mo - don't want to stress myself out/push myself too hard in case it effects bean.

The "nice" second trimester doesn't happen for everyone, sadly - I am now 28 weeks, and have felt like crap from the start. Baby's doing fine, but if I just feel tired, achey and out-of-sorts then it's a good day!

Thanks everyone, I actually feel worse today and only got 2 hours sleep so it was an easy decision. Going to take it really easy and hopefully pull myself together for the rest of the week. I just didn't expect to have achy, heavy tired legs at 22 weeks - especially as I am still quite fit and not overweight!!
