we have bought a travel cot for when we visit my mum but still wondering should we buy a mattress for it?! and also do we need sheets and bedding for it?! xxx

How old is the child? I hate travel cots tbh, there is no mattress and the base is hard. You'll need to pad the bottom very well with folded up blankets ime to make it comfortable

I would buy a mattress if you can afford it and plan to use it often.

Our travel cot got a lot of use (and is still in the loft for visitors!) but the base is hard and uncomfortable. We padded it up well and just used normal cot bedding in it, and a baby sleeping bag once they were old enough.
