Hey so I'm 14+ 5 weeks, and I've been getting pains since 6 weeks, I've had scans n that and all is good, I had bleeding from 6-10weeks, all ok. My pain is getting a lot worse and more regular. They feel like period cramps but worse!on the pain scale I rate it 9.it comes and goes but there is an ache. Went a.n.e wednesday, babies heartbeat fine, and no infection. Doc wasn't bothered and sent me home and told me to take 8paracetamol a day to hide pain! Just wanted to no if its normal. Wt does stretching pain feel like? I dnt think its that bt I've given up hope on wt it is.

I've had this on and off during my whole pregnancy, starting from 10 weeks. The only explanation ive been able to get is irritable uterus. There is a lot of info about it on google. Ive found that the only things that help are to drink loads of water, 3 litres a day, avoid a full bladder so go as soon as you feel the first urge, avoid constipation (i take lactulose every day), and rest as much as possible. I'm now 32 weeks and have been on bedrest since 28 weeks which has massively reduced the pain and contractions.

I think its really important not to be fobbed off by doctors just telling you to take painkillers, you may need to push to see a consultant. Are you getting tightenings as well? Theytake that much more seriously than pain on its own. I've been seen every 2-4 weeks by a consultant and had extra scans and tests. Have they tested you for uti?

That sounds exactly like me, yes sometimes I feel as though their like contractions.(Its my second pregnancy) I haven't seen my midwife for 6 weeks, she's making me go 8 weeks before I can see her!yup I've been tested for uti, and the pain is worse when I need a wee and I am having trouble being bit constipated. The pain is so sharp and when its gone its like an achy pain.never had anything like this with my first. Its making me struggle to get excited as I am convinced something is wrong due to the pain, cnt be normal to feel like I do? Bedrest sounds good but impossible for me, I have a 2 year old, a partner who works full time and I am at college studying to be a paramedic so quite busy. I just wish doctors wud stop pushing it aside!

Have you got the results of the UTI test? I had one at about 20 weeks with DS2 and it was agony, felt exactly as you've described and I was convinced I was in labour.

Been tested twice in past week, both say negative x

I've found it difficult to find many other people who have gone through the same thing but have read some stories on google that are encouraging and resulted in healthy term babies. My worry has always been prem labour as my first was early. But i've got to 32 weeks now despite all the pain, worry and scares. The problem is that there isn't much awareness and understanding of it and doctors dismiss it easily. Also, i don't think there is really anything they can do to help other than the suggestions i've already made.
But i do think you need to push to be taken seriously and to be monitored for any signs of preterm labour. Was your first term?
Bed rest is not fun, especially with a 2 year old. But i have to do it to reduce any risk of preterm labour. Have had to arrange ft childcare for ds and dh has to do everything around the house. For me its the only way to reduce the pain and contractions.

My first was 11 days late although I was induced due to pre-clampsia, I had very little complications with him. But this ones non stop! Pain, bleeding in first few weeks, just feeling completely drained.the pain prevents me from doing normal things such as cleaning the house. Really had enough already and feel like doctors think I'm making it up

Have a look at the stuff on google and maybe print it out and take it to the dr? My only other advice would be be kind to yourself, cleaning the house isnt as important as a healthy baby! I know its frustrating but you just need to take it as easy as possible.

Will have to do something. Its been really quite bad today. It does feel like I'm going tight, although still very small being only 14 +5 weeks, feels like I keep contracting and left with an ache when it goes. Gonna try and see my midwife this week, been 7 weeks! Even with all the complications.
