Anyone been induced more than once & did it progress the same?

Was induced with first baby at 39 wks due to having obstetric cholestasis. Had 2 lots of gel, they broke waters and after that labour progressed extremely quickly with DD born an hour and a half later.

Now have cholestasis again Sad so booked for induction next week when I'll be 39+1. I'm wondering if I can expect or at least hope for a similar straightforward experience.

Anyone been induced more than once and did things progress in the same way? I'm getting nervous!

1st time - gel at 6 pm, niggles at 2 am, baby born just after 10 am.
2nd time - gel at 10.10 am, baby born at 11.29 am.
A little different but the same end result, except one DS and one DD!
Good luck - hope it goes well for you.

4 inductions, all different.

I think as you're being induced at a similar point in time it should be at least as quick/easy getting labour going. Hopefully the gel alone will get you going.

My inductions at 41 weeks (1st) and 40 weeks were similar and then the ones I had at 42+3 and 42 weeks were similar - and much quicker to progress than the other 2.

I've had 2, both took around 4 hours from regular contractions to birth, but last one i had to have all the drugs possible to actually get labour going.
