If sex is good for inducing labour, is there a point where its slightly risky to have sex incase you set things off early????

Never thought about it last time as heartburn and sickness made all idea of sex horrible... but this time things are a bit different!!!

No, I don't think so - not like using TENS or Rasp leaf tea. All the MWs I spoke to said it would only move things on if they were pretty ready to go anyway so enjoy!

I don't think so, I think it only works if you are ready anyway and god knows I'm trying!

We done the deed the night before i went into labour and i really think it helped, we did it doggy style to make sure the sperm hit the spot and started its work on softening the cervix.

The next morning my waters broke, that night I had a curry, did a few yoga moved and 20 mons later the contractions started.

Also the day that we had sex I went on an hours walk too.

Can never be 100% sure if it helped, but it was my first baby and i went into labour the day i was due so i think it all did help.

i had castor oil to start mine off.... contractions started a couple of hours after. she came the day after she was due

would rather try sex than castor oil!!!

i just put a teaspoon of it in some fresh orange juice and knocked it back!!! did seem to work though!

Found sex, curry, long walks, sweeps all useless.

The only thing that worked for me was a fresh pineapple - ate the whole thing - hour later contractions started...

Meant sex didn't bring on labour, not that the sex was useless
