Pregnant after miscarriage- How on earth do I work out my dates?!

Ok, I had a mc 6 weeks ago and have just discovered I'm pregnant again, without having a period in between. This was a total shock as we weren't even going to try again until the new year. I feel a bit naughty actually- haha.
The thing is, and I might be a bit thick here, but how on earth do I work out how far along i am?! Does anyone know? Thanks x

This happened to me and I'm 32wks today!

They took the first day of the mc as the first day of my cycle, so you're roughly 6wks preg. They did adjust at my 12wk scan though.

Depends on how long it took for your hcg to go after the miscarriage. I expect you are probably about 5 weeks pregnant in fact. Perhaps they will send you for an early dating scan if you are lucky.

Hi mummy, I had a mc in early Sept and then found out I was pg again nearly 4 weeks ago. The doctor has dated me from the first day of bleeding of the mc, I had a scan 6 days after the bleeding started and there was no sign of pg and a urine test showed negative so I think my cycle just went straight back to normal. The gp seemed happy enough with dates and didn't refer me for early scan. I have however booked a private scan in 10 days as waiting until 12 weeks seemed too long!

I think my cycle must have too! I had a scan on the 5th day of bleeding and there was nothing there. It took 2 weeks for the hcg to go. I guestimated that I'm 6 weeks but I just don't know! The midwife's coming to see me next week and I'm going to do all I can to get her to refer me for a dating scan. I hate not knowing!

Happened to me too and am 36 + 4. Is really close (giver or take a couple of days) to the first day of your mc. I was really worried telling the GP that I hadnt waited and really expected to be told off but all was fine and they didnt bat an eyelid. Congrats!
