This might be a silly question, but is it ok to use a hot water bottle when pg? I was so cold yesterday and spent the whole evening with it cluched to my tummy and then went to bed lying on it. Lovely and snuggly, but then woke up panicking this morning as remembered something about not overheating..... I'm 8 weeks.

Hi,yes they are perfectly safe to use while pregnant! I injured my shoulder not long onto my pregnancy & asked at pharmacy could I use deep heat etc.. he said not without a doctors say so but a hot water bottle is safe & works better on pulled muscles anyway!! x

Do you think it's ok on your tummy though?

I wouldnt have survived without my hot water bottle. I'm no medical expert but i would say its ok but perhaps dont have it right down low where baby is to avoid that area getting too hot if you are worried.

So long as you aren't holding it to a point where your skin changes colour cos of the heat (red/blotchy) you'll be fine

Hmmm - think I probably did last night Confused oh dear - oh we'll can't do anything about it now, but won't do it again. Can't keep up with all these things I should or shouldn't be doing!
