22 weeks and on the count down. I usually like my job and get on ok with it but just find now I can't be bothered particularly as everyone is so mean to each other, it makes me really sad......hormones?

me!

it's natural I think. I am in a senior position and been doing all the naughty things like coming in late, leaving early, having long baby chats with another staff member who is also pregnant etc etc.

Infact, I should be ashamed of myself, but I'm not!

silver28 · 24/10/2011 21:21

Me too!

I'm 32 weeks, finish in 3 weeks (yay!) and mentally shut down a long time ago. I too am in a fairly senior position and should feel ashamed, but actually don't give a shit now.

I have a few things to finish off, but new projects keep starting and I keep thinking 'I'll be long gone by the time this gets going...'

georgethecat · 24/10/2011 21:27

Ha glad its not just me, I'm a manager and today I just locked myself in my office eating dairy milk! couldn't give a crap...

And me! Only 20 weeks but wishing it was week 36 and I was finishing up. Caring a lot less than usual!

Minus273 · 24/10/2011 21:33

I've finished work now, well on Annual leave before starting on mat leave. I really struggled with motivation for the last few weeks.

LikeABlackFlameCandleBNQ · 24/10/2011 21:35

Me!! Glad I came across this thread, as I was worrying.

Im 32 weeks, 5 1/2 wks to go, am in a senior position, spend all most of my day MNing.

Im second interviewing my potential replcements, and have basically said theyll get two weeks of learning what I do, followed by two weeks of me watching them do it while sitting on my ass counting down the hourse

On the days I can be bothered, I stay later, even with nothing to do, so when I feel like shite, I can leave earlier and my punch card still adds up to 40 ish hours.

LikeABlackFlameCandleBNQ · 24/10/2011 21:36

5 1/2 weeks to go til mat leave tht should be

Dutchie77 · 25/10/2011 18:41

Can't be arsed too. Only 24 working days to go. Everything seems so not important at the moment. Only thing I can think about is baby (while I always said not to be like that :) )

bigmacandhappymeal · 25/10/2011 19:44

Me! 1.5 weeks to go!!

annekins · 26/10/2011 16:10

Me!!!! Have been working at home a few days a week too which hasn't helped with my motivation one bit...am getting used to daytime tv I think.

I bought my mat leave forward last week so I start annual leave in 17 days time and I honestly don't care. There's a lot of crap going on in the office - we're on the edge of being restructured AGAIN this year and there has been a lot of change in the organisation that we've had to work with...I do care, and I do want to do a good job, but honestly, what's the point in me attending briefings and meetings about it, when the most important decision I'll face over the next few months is shall I wash my hair today or not!!

ITryToBeZenBut · 26/10/2011 19:26

Partly arsed but well on the way to that part diminishing to zero some time soon. I'm 24 weeks and genuinely cannot be bothered between 8 and about 9 whilst I settle in and stop feeling tired and any time after 5 when I feel tired again. Quite motivated for a short burst of time inbetween.

It would be ok but I've got a fairly senior role too and my project is hitting the peak in November. Lots of tension too and I wish it weer all just peace and love.

Still in the office and not achieved much in the last hour but surf mumsnet and dream of the happy days after Christmas when I can sit at home, watch tv and boxsets and eat leftover christmas goods. This particular project is getting more attention and planning than my work one Grin

Just chosen my Mat Leave cover today, she's due to start 1s Nov and have 4 weeks training. Itll mean two pretty intensive weeks, as she's new to the whole company, then hopefully two weeks of 'close monitoring' while I make the cuppas!

Mum2be79 · 27/10/2011 08:17

I'm 30 weeks + 4 and I have 5 weeks to go of teaching 26 x 5/6 year olds! Not looking forward to it. I'm now beginning to shut down as I'm slowing and tired. I have a 'Maths Week' to plan for from 7th Nov, 'Takeover Day' on the 11th (all the emergency services pay a visit, relaunch of ;walk to school' and dress up as an evacuee, WWII person for Remembrance Day) and then anti-bullying week the week after followed by children in need day to organise with my school council!!!

I really cannot be arsed!!!! I go on maternity on 2nd December - the week before the nativity - YES!!!!!!

LankyLegs · 27/10/2011 08:59

Oh god - I am counting down weeks and days! 7 weeks left and 35 days! I think OP I am like you - the politics I just feel like I don't have any time or patience for it anymore - it was bad enough before I got pregnant!

I think the added thing for me is that my contract finishes at the exact time I would be taking mat leave. I am trying to remain motivated etc so they will take me back once I am done - but it's proving difficult!

All I can think about is the all the baby stuff that needs to get sorted at home...

mythical · 27/10/2011 17:35

i am counting down the days too, unfortunately i'm only 13 weeks :(

Wormshuffler · 27/10/2011 17:46

12 shifts / 60 hours to go!
They have invited me to attend a sales course next Monday, I am so not going, don't even care that I don't have a good excuse.

LikeABlackFlameCandleBNQ · 27/10/2011 18:46

oooh,i am looking forward to being able to count down in hours, worm....too far to go for that yet Grin

pregnantmimi · 28/10/2011 04:56

I cant be arsed either actually cant be arsed to do much at all quite happy sitting on the sofa eating and watching tele and cant be arsed with rushing around unless I have to thought today I could would be quite happy to just stay in the house all day till I have the baby and I used to have to always be doing something if I do go out I get worried people are going to bump in to me and knock my baby or that I might go into labour if Im too far away!xx

CountingDown321 · 28/10/2011 09:04

Me! I am soooo bored at work.

Am 28 weeks and was moved onto a new project at work a couple of months ago. But I have nothing to do.

My boss is busy with other stuff and so has not noticed. I think the workload will ramp up when I am about 32 weeks, but I can do without the stress at that point!

Think I will start mat leave then Wink. In the meantime, I have to show my face, but have nothing to fill my days. It would be silly to tell them, right?
