Hi everyone i have found out i am pregnant a month ago and i am unsure of my due date and wondered if i list my symptoms if anyone can help me work it out as me and the OH are getting impatient waiting for the dating scan. I fell pregnant whilst on the cerazette pill so have had no monthly periods for the four years i have been on them. The symptoms im experiencing are:

Hard abdomen directly below my belly button and to the bottom of it
Nausea (although this is not as much as it was when i intially found out)
Tender Breasts
Dark Nipples
Breasts feeling full
Tiredness
Emotional
Bleeding gums
Constantly needing the loo

Any help would be grateful as this is our first child and we are unsure when the symptoms shoud start

Sorry, since you have been on the pill it is impossible for me to guess. If you found out a month ago, you are therefore at least 8 weeks pregnant, assuming when you found out, you were 4 weeks. Of course, you could be a bit more than that as you would have had no reason to be testing at 4 weeks. You have all the usual symptoms of the first trimester, but if you can actually feel your uterus, you could be as much as 12 weeks. See a doc and get a dating scan arranged asap!

I reckon 10-11 weeks. I think I could feel uterus by this point and nausea ime is not that bad at 4 weeks and starts getting better at 10.

If the fundal height (top of the uterus) can be felt just below the belly button you may be about 16 weeks.

This varies between women though so it could be 4 weeks or so either side of this.

See your Dr and get a dating scan asap. I had no bump, nothing at all till about 22 weeks! Morning sickness varies enormously, Mine stopped at 14 weeks, one friend never had it, another was still suffering with it when she went into labour. If you are sure that you can feel your uterus, and are having breast changes I would think closer to 16 weeks than 12. You need to get yourself organised with antenatal care and scans. In the UK they offer an anomaly scan at 20 weeks which can help detect some defects. 16 weeks is when they do an amniocentesis which is the only definitive test for chromasomal anomalies (including Downs). If you want the opportunity to have these tests you need to see a midwife or doctor.

thanks for your advice everyone i went to my doc when i found out i was pregnant and was tol the midwife would contact me but no luck yet. I think ill ring them tomorrow and find out whats taking so long. I will shocked if im as far gone as 16 weeks as that would mean i have only 5 months left to plan and prepare Shock

They may have assumed you were only 4 weeks gone when you found out, that's when most people miss their period and test.

In which case you may not see anyone till 10 weeks, that's another 2 weeks from now which could make you 18 weeks by then Smile

Ring tomorrow, you should be having a 12 week scan asap, which you might have passed but a dating scan would be a priority - from this they can tlel you how far along you are.

I'm surprised you've not been offered one immediately. Anyway - tell them you don't know how many months you are. Ask for a dating scan asap.

Good luck and congratulations!

I'd be pushing for a dating scan ASAP. I'm 15 weeks pg and I've just had a rummage at my abdomen and I can feel my uterus a out an inch below my belly button. Obviously everybody will have slightly different anatomy, but if you're fairly sure you can feel your uterus just under your belly button then I'd tend to agree you may be as far as 16 weeks!!

I didn't have any periods when I got pg with my DD (fertility problems), and only tested when I started to feel tired, nauseous and swollen tender breasts. Turned out I was 7/8 weeks pg when I did the test. But because I was so unsure they did give me a quick dating scan.

I could definitely feel my uterus b4 I went for my 12 week scan - I was pretty slim though and as others have said everyone is different. Maybe not at 10 weeks tho, I cant remember exactly.

well ive contacted the doctors and they said the midwife would contact me within 2 days to book a scan. today is the 2nd day and still no phone call.. going to have to ring them back again tomorrow and keep pestering.
