Hi

Am nearly 21 weeks pregnant and since JUly of this year i've been working part time (14.8 hours one week and 22.2 the next).

Am planning to finish work at the end of March 06 (am due May 7th) - basically, will i be entitled to the full amount of SMP or will it be pro rata due to my part time status?

TIA X

go to www.tiger.gov.uk and they will give you info.

Mandymoo. You need to earn an average of £82 or more per week for the 8 weeks up to your 25th week of pregnancy to qualify for SMP. This is paid at 90% of your salary up to a max of £106 per week for the full 6 months. If you have not earned the average amount of £82 then you can still qualify for Maternity Allowance of 90% of your average earnings for 6 months but you will need to do this through the job centre rather than your employer (as with SMP).

The Tiger site is really useful as it works out all your dates automatically for you.
