are they normal non maternity jeans?

They're maternity jeans from next but they've got no stretchy panels - just jeans a bit wider at the top!

blooming marvellous might

I think they are not very good though (belly belts that is)

if you're wearing a long top over them why not just put a hair bobble or elastic band through button hole and over button to give you a little more room.

ooh that's a good idea!!

yes thast what I was going to suggest

I am still doing that with my normal jeans and it works well

Don't waste your money on a belly belt. I did this time and unless you wear a really long top you can see the zip is down on trousers and most maternity tops are never very long, well not on me anyway.
If you do want to try it though, I'll send you mine after xmas, won't be needing it again.

i did something with the elastic you can buy that's got button holes in it (let me know if you want me to elaborate!)

a friend of mine was recently pregnant and she used a silk scarf as a belt and left the top button open.
