I'm pregnant for the first time and 13 weeks tomorrow. It's the scan that tests for Downs syndrome too and it feels like so much could be wrong. I don't know how I will sleep tonight.

Anyone else feel/felt like this?

It's very normal but try not to let your worry ruin the scan for you. It was only after we got out from our 13 week one that we realised what we missed iyswim. We were so worried about all that could be wrong we didn't really appreciate seeing our baby for hte first time. EVerything for us was fine, and we're both looking forward to our 20 week one so much more :)

Yes. I am due to have my first scan this Friday. They will be doing the Nuchal Folds test all with everything else. My main fear is that they'll tell me there is nothing there, i.e,. no baby. Daft I know. I am definitely pregnant. Done the test, got the symptoms, but it still doesn't feel real. I won't believe it until i actually see the baby. V scared.

I was terrified. When the sonographer said, all casually, 'yep, there's the heartbeat' my first emotion was actual shock. I'd utterly convinced myself there wouldn't be one.

Hope it goes well.
