Swollen hands and feet

Anyone else's feet ballooned in this unseasonal heat? My ankles look like elephant's legs! Was feeling quite relieved that I never really had to put up with much heat this summer and then nature throws this at us!

At what point should you start to worry that this isn't just hot weather swelling but a sign of pre-enclampsia?

Immediately. Give your MW a call and if she can't see you, pop into your local pharmacy and get your BP checked.

Sorry to be pessimistic but it simply isn't worth dithering on these things.

Me too - I'm 37 weeks and I've just ballooned in the heat this week - I've got big fat sausage fingers eeewwww.

I called my MW and she was happy to check me over the same day - my blood pressure and and urine were fine. Go get yourself checked, it's probably just the heat but you shouldn't take any chances.

I didn't know you could do that at a pharmacy. That's really good to know - I'll go right after work. Thanks for that.

Just make sure it's not an electric monitor unless it's been specially calibrated for pregnant women.
