I am keeping my husband awake all night

I've reached that stage where I have to turn over and drag the belly pillow with me every couple of hours, get up to wee a lot, etc. Poor man looked shattered this morning. We've got a sofabed, but it's too hard for his back (actual back problems, he's not just being a princess) and not great for my huge lumbering self.
I'm not really expecting any tips, but we can't go on like this for another 8 weeks, can we?

OMG I totally feel your pain...I'm hoping that when I start maternity leave I will be able to nap in the day and then allow DH to sleep a bit before I lumber through to bed! I have 5 weeks to go and it's not got any better - sorry but at least you know...I imagine it's not going to get any better when the bambino arrives either tbh so I'm kinda writing off getting a good night's sleep for a while!

You get the bed, he gets the sofabed. Or he puts up with you.

And drown out his moaning in the morning with pregnancy ailment talk.

I used to be on the sofa watching those infomercials all night. I develop a thing about those during bouts of pregnancy induced insomnia.

Oh, I know, it's not a first baby. I just didn't hit this huge-and-uncomfortable stage so early last time, or maybe he slept better, or something. I don't know, but I did feel bad this morning.

Mind you, here it is almost 11pm where I am and he's still channel surfing, so I'm rapidly getting over it.

Pregnancy ailment moaning just gets me "are you sure you still have two months to go" which is driving me fucking bonkers. I may have pregnancy rage issues.

If he's got back problems he might find sleeping on the floor on just a bedroll/thick duvet/futon mattress/the sofabed matress if it's thin and removable helpful anyway?

i want him to spend the whole night being disturbed- If I'm not allowed to sleep through the night, why should he?!

If my husband can't sleep he can always walk to the guestroom where he can have double bed all to himself.

We have the same problem...for the last couple of weeks, we've resorted to separate beds. I don't like it much, but DH sleeps so much better and I get a whole double bed to turn over in and arrange pillows to my heart's content!! Plus I have hip probs so turning over is even more of an adventure!

Have you thought of getting a mattress topper for your sofa bed? You can get pretty decent ones for not too much money and it might make you both happier.
