Slipped down the stairs...

Am 31 weeks and slipped down the last 4 stairs earlier today. Landed sitting up and just bruised my elbows on the way down really....have felt the baby moving since then, in a normal sort of a kicking/turning type way...but still...please reassure me that it's pretty unlikely that I've done any damage...

Its really unlikely, especially if you have felt normal movement since. If you are unsure though call you MW, they may be able to get you in for some reassurance monitoring if she felt it necessary.

I fell down our back steps the other day and landed on my hands and knees. I called my mum who's a midwife and she told me that as long I had no pain or bleeding/discharge and I could feel normal movements then not to worry.

Obviously if movements slow down or you get freaked out then call in. They'd rather see you and reassure you than you sit at home worrying.

At 34 weeks I tripped in my front garden and fell straight down onto my huge bump. Thankfully everything was fine. I did go to hospital to put my mind at rest, they were fantastic and I was thoroughly checked over. It was almost comical as soon as they strapped me up to the monitor DD went mad kicking but was very reassuring! Definetly go in if you are worried, they really won't mind. I was sore for a few days but DD is sat on me now, totally none the worse for my clumsiness!

Somebody dropped a bridesmaid onto my bump yesterday (!?!) Had quite a lot of movement last night but I think little one seems dandy.

Tis a worry though I know but remember we can't be that fragile or we would have never made so far as a species! They have lots of cushioning in there :)
