Hi - am almost 20 weeks with number 2. Was sitting on the sofa this pm minding my own business when a god almighty "jolt" made me scream out loud in pain and actually took my breath away. It felt like something had literally gone POP in my belly - i've been feeling flutters for the last few weeks but nothing like this and not even during my last pregnancy did i feel anything remotely as painful and breathtaking as what i felt today. Was this simply a kick? I cannot think of anything else it could be but my god did it shock me.

I got this a LOT - well to me it felt like electric shocks almost and scared me witless. I don't know but I think it might have been muscles as they stretched as I grew.

It literally took my breath away and still feels tender now on the spot where it "kicked"

It is supposed to hurt like hell if they kick the (I think) diaphram.

it was around the top right hand side area of the bump - dont know what it kicked but it DID hurt like hell!!!!

Apparently when my Mum was pregnant with me, I kicked her so hard I cracked two of her ribs I don't know how many weeks pg she was at the time though...

I had similar symptons but i felt winded and couldnt move for a few seconds. Ive havn't experienced it since...this happened a few weeks before i was 5 and half months pregnant. Now i feel the baby moving all the time and kicking. It is worrying and as its my first i phoned my midwife who said its normal.
