I had a growth scan today at just over 36 weeks and found my baby is currently breech. I think it turned fairly recently. I am booked in for an ECV next week if the baby doesn't turn by itself. Has anyone had one? What was it like and did it do the trick? Thanks

i had one with dd as she was breech from 30 weeks. The procedure itself was actually not a problen at all....they gave me a muscle relaxant after they had done the initial baby monitoring and talked me through the whole procedure as they did it. I could definitely feel the pressure as they tried to shift her, but her bum was well and truly lodged in my pelvis and she wasn't for turning!...they the monitored her again for another 20 mins and we came back 2 weeks later for ELCS.

Thanks conkerchops. I had heard about the procedure but only basic details. They mentioned the injection and that it would be happening on the delivery suite which made me worry a bit! It's good to hear yours felt ok although your baby didn't change position Smile
