Bloody nightmares!!!

So last night I watched that documentary about Fred West.

Not a good idea. Am 29 weeks and having really vivid dreams.

And what did I dream last night? That I was trying to get away from Fred West.

I wish I had crazy dreams. I only had them at the very start when I didn't even know I was pregnant.

Twice I had a fantastic dream with my baby. I can never see her face but I could feel the warmth of her body and a lot of goodness around me...

It could be from the meditation sessions from the yoga class I was going to.... but it was nice!

Watch a comedy tonight instead :)

I haven't been watching scaries but I'm having nightmares the last few nights Not sure what to do to stop them either!!!

I read somewhere that crazy dreams can be related to the anxieties that are normal in pregnancy.

Try to chill and if there is anything worrying you, talk about it / read about it to gain re-assurance.

I'm having nightmares about giving birth to an alien baby.

Nanny I can understand that, I gave birth to a rabbit once.

I found where I read ref dreams: "Your pregnancy Bible" - a massive book you can find in most Mothercare alike shops and online.

You dream your fears. Common dreams are :

• The pregnancy isn't real and you will give borth to nothing or just deflate.
• You give birth to an animal or some mundane household object
• Your baby is damaged or deformed in some way.

Such fears may stem from the fact that , despite antenatal scans and examinations, the human being inside you is a shadowy figure - not seen or known.

If you are prone to disturbing dreams, try to spend some time daydreaming about your baby in a positive way. Imagine yourself holding him, thinking about nam,es and picturing him in his cot.

Some other common themes and what they might refer to :

• Sex in a positive or negative way : normal sexual confusion during pregnancy.

• Loss and forgetfulness: fear of responsibility in motherhood

• Pain and hurt: a sense of vulnerability

• Being trapped: concerns about loss of freedom

• Losing your partner: worry about body image.

• Dramatic changes in weight: concerns about your diet.

Thinking about it - I have had some of those too.

I had loads of sexy dreams but I had a terrible one once when the midwife tried to shag me argh!!!

My boyfriend toppled it all up by dreaming that the baby was bourne walking talking and with the cheek to go round the table eating and drinking everyone's food ;o) Maybe he has been watching too much Family Guy lol
