So it is completely up to the company? There is no law on it then? What happens if they say none?

I think the first week is statutory, the second week is def 100.00 but can be full pay at company discretion. Our number 2 is due in February, and dh is a bit worried as its up to his boss if he gets the second week with real pay. But he effectively has 2 bosses who could make the decision, one nice, one a tosser, so it all hangs in the balance...

completely depends on company. DH is taking paternity from next saturday and has been told he will get 2 weeks full play. However it should be at least £100 a week or if earn under a £100 a week 90% of whatever he earns.

Right so i think he needs to speak to his company they have not said anything yet but they are very very tight, he is on far more than £100 a week, i just wanted to try & get all the info i could so he knows what hes saying & what hes allowed before the questions start.

The minimum if he earns over £82 a week is 2 weeks at £106 a week. Anything additional is up to the company.

Dh has just called me tonight to say he is being given 5 weeks at full pay
